Precognition is a type of Legacy that allows the user to sense occurrences in the future. It most commonly manifests itself in dreams. It is likely that these visions are subjective because the future is rarely ever set in stone. It is unclear whether this is an actual legacy or simply a means of communication that the Garde possess as no two members of the remaining garde have the same legacies (apart from Pittacus' successor)
Known Users
- Number Four - It is assumed that Number Four has this as he experiences visions during most dreams. He can see past and future events. It allowed him to see the second ship that left Lorien with Number Ten. He also had a vision of Six protecting two girls (Seven and Ten), which indeed happen.
- Number Eight - It is confirmed in The Rise of Nine that Eight has the precognition Legacy. His first recall of this was visions of Loric activity on Earth which allowed him to locate a known Loric cave in the Himalayas find the Loralite and prophecies within it. Precognition also allowed Eight to forsee the arrival of Six, Seven, Ella and Crayton.
- Nine's Grandfather - In The Last Days Of Lorien, he tells Sandor he has a gift that allows him to see rare glimpses at the threads of destiny.
