The Mogadorian Invasion of Lorien, known as the First Great Expansion by the Mogadorians, occurs 10 years before the events of I am Number Four. As the Mogadorians continued to mistreat their planet and fail to do anything constructive about it before it was too late, they mounted an attack on the nearest planet, Lorien, in order to steal their resources to replace their own supplies, which were very low or had run out.
Aftermath[]
Some of the Garde and Cêpan escaped on a ship to Earth. Each were assigned a number and they could only be killed in this order to protect their race from the Mogadorians.
