Mark James was the ex-boyfriend of Sarah Hart (2011 Movie Version). He was a Senior, and the star quarterback, at Paradise High School at the time that Number Four (2011 Movie Version) (John Smith) attended and was instantly jealous of the relationship he formed with Sarah.

Initially, Mark James is rude and a violent school bully. He is extremely jealous of Number Four's relationship with Sarah Hart. He had a change of attitude later after he learned of Four's true origins. He steals Four's Loric Chest and misleads his father regarding Four's next move.

Background[]

Mark James is the star quarterback of Paradise High school. At some point, he dated and broke up with Sarah Hart. Despite this, he bullied any guy who tried to get close to her. Additionally, he routinely bullied Sam Goode, particularly about his father and his obsession with aliens.

Plot[]

Mark introduces himself to Four on his first day at Paradise High School after noticing him with Sarah. He introduces his friends to him and asks about his background and whether he plays football. Sometime later, he bullies Sam by violently throwing a ball at him. Four helps out Sam and throws the ball back and knocks down one of his friends.

Sometime later, he secretly witnesses Number Four leave Sarah's house. Enraged, he plants color bombs in Four and Sam's locker.

After the Battle of Paradise, he gives Four his Loric chest back. He explains that he won't get in trouble for stealing it from his father, who is a police officer. This is because things so missing from the evidence room all the time. He then advises Four to head South, as he told his father that Four was heading North.

  • Skilled Footballer: Mark James is a skilled Footballer. He played the quarterback position for his school team and was their star Footballer.
  • Skilled Brawler: He appears to have some skill with fighting, as he was confident with fighting Four. However, he is only ever seen fighting Sam, who lacks combat abilities, and Four, who had superhuman attributes.

Trivia[]

  • Mark is somewhat different from the Novel Version. He does not steal Four's phone.
