Lumen is the second Legacy that Number Four develops. He actually believes Lumen to be his first legacy. It first manifests during his first day of school in Paradise, Ohio. At first, Four only believes it to be light, but Henri soon tells him otherwise. In the book, Lumen is not really focused on, but is more of a prominent theme in the film.
Uses
Four uses Lumens light-bearing properties to great effect after aquring it. Once Henri has spread the heat resistance from Lumen throughout his body, Four uses that resistance to great effect as well. A third property seen only in the film adaptiation, is the ability to use Lumen to recharge other Garde's power supply. Four also uses a concentrated beam form of Lumen to help Number Six take down a Mogadorian Beast (also in the film).
