La Gorda is a girl from Seven's orphanage in Spain where she lives with her Cepan, Adelina. La Gorda is not her real name, but she is called this because she is fat and "La Gorda" is Spanish for "The Fat One". It is mentioned that they never call her La Gorda to her face, it is just a nicknamed used behind her back. In The Power of Six, Number Seven frequently gets into arguments with La Gorda and her friends. Once, La Gorda pushed her under the dock, where she nearly drowned, but discovered her new Legacy of breathing underwater.
