Dr Lockam Anu was a Mogadorian scientist. He was described as an old man with a hunched spine and a disgustingly wrinkled and tatooed scalp.

Anu was the first to develop a memory extraction device which was intended to transfer the memories of a deceased being into the brain of a living being. This was tested for the first time on Adam, the son of a Mogadorian General (Andrakkus), with an unexpected outcome that they would never know about. Instead of the intended results, Adam was subjected to a three year coma during which he witnessed a large amount of Number One's memories.

Although unsure if the device was to be proven useful, the General ordered the execution of Anu because of the effect it had on his son. Anu was replaced by Doctor Zakos who continued to work on the project.
