Banshevus was the original name of Pittacus Lore, the Loric Elder at the time of the Secret Wars.
The Mogadorians, a race largely motivated by war and violence, had accepted the Lorien delegation onto their planet into order to improve diplomatic relations, only to turn on them and massacre many of the Loric who were present. Among the casualties were two Elders; Pittacus Lore and Setrákus Ra who originally went by the names Banshevus and Zaniff.
Banshevus' chair with the Elders was filled by the Pittacus Lore of the Lorien era, the last to hold the title before the Mogadorian Invasion of Lorien.
